– Unemployment increased slightly in January, but is still at a low level. Unemployment is rising, among others: in construction and among people under 40 years of age. Gross unemployment, which is the sum of totally unemployed and jobseekers by measure, consists of 55 wholly unemployed (400% of the workforce) and 1,9 jobseekers (10% of the workforce). In addition, 100 thousand people were partially unemployed (0,3% of the workforce). In total, therefore, there were 21,8 registered job seekers with NAV, representing 0,7 percent of the workforce.
Almost half of those made redundant have work experience related to construction work

In January, 24 new jobseekers were registered with NAV. This equates to about 000 per day, when adjusted for normal seasonal variations.
