It is precisely specified who is obliged to undergo hotel quarantine with an indication of exceptions.
There are three important exceptions:

- Those who came to Norway for work or other tasks and have an employer or employer who has provided a suitable place to stay with a private room during the quarantine period.
- Asylum seekers and displaced refugees.
