The Norwegian government is changing its recommendations
From Monday (January 18), the government is changing its recommendations and will allow children and young people under 20 years of age. To resume normal training and recreational activities. This applies both indoors and outdoors. However, this does not apply to matches or cups that must be postponed. At the same time, the government recommends postponing all league matches in top sports sports by two weeks.
– Restoration of training for children and adolescents was our top priority. At the same time, I am very pleased that infection rates are now allowing children and young people to train and engage in local activities again sports teams. At the same time, the infection situation is very delicate, which is why we have asked the Norwegian Sports Confederation to recommend to the federations to postpone all league matches in the most important sports disciplines by two weeks, says Abid Q. Raja, Minister of Culture and Gender Equality.
Postponement of league games
The government wants to minimize unnecessary relocation to different municipalities and regions. On this basis, it is recommended to postpone league games in the most important disciplines by two weeks.

For adults, the recommendation continues against structured indoor activities. Outdoors, adults can exercise while at the same time, if possible, to keep a proper distance.
In the case of children and adolescents, regular training activities may be conducted in clubs, teams and associations. This also applies to cultural activities such as dance and theater in the city's community centers.
"The purpose of these measures is to bring infection rates down to a level that will allow us to open up further without risking another major shutdown," says Raja.
The situation will be reassessed in two weeks.
