Three Danish citizens were arrested and deported for breaking the ban on entering Norway. Danish citizens entered Norway illegally while skiing and crossing the border from Sweden to Norway at Bjørnfjell in Nordland.

They were watched by the owner of a local house

Danish citizens first tried to cross the border on bicycles, but were expelled by the authorities that carry out border control in Bjørnfjell. Then they exchanged their bikes for skis and crossed the border beyond the checkpoint. They were watched by the owner of a local house. Additionally, a person living in Tromsø is suspected of helping to find skis for three Danes.

The Danes were arrested on Friday in Tromsø, where they were held in custody. Expulsion decisions from Norway were made and informed. As planned, they will leave Norway on Saturday. Each of them was also fined CZK 10. The fine was accepted by them.
Fines and decisions on expulsion were issued on the basis of the Temporary Act on Entry Restrictions for Foreigners for Health Reasons, § 2.
