An older wood stove can only use 40-50% of this energy stored in the wood
A clean combustion kiln is also more efficient. Such a stove allows you to get more heat from each log, up to 80% of the energy stored in the wood. This is more energy used for heating. In the same situation, an older wood stove may only use 40-50% of this energy.
* Clean combustion in a low-emission furnace. This means that the fireplace has a dual primary and secondary combustion system.
