The state fellowship in Poland, which is celebrated annually on November 11. To commemorate Poland's regaining independence in 1918, after 123 years of partitions (1795–1918). The holiday was established by the Act of April 23, 1937 [1], abolished by the Act of the National National Council on July 22, 1945, restored by the Act during the system transformation in 1989. 27 public gatherings are planned in the very center of Warsaw. Over 100 cultural, scientific, national and religious events have been prepared throughout the country. City games, concerts, workshops for children and adults. The inhabitants of Poznań, Wrocław, Warsaw and Kraków can find exhibitions and much more in their cities
Due to the ongoing pandemic, part of the traditional parades will not take place this year as well. Including those in Kraków and Poznań
Events in Norway, Information from the Polish Embassy in Oslo
On November 11, 2021 (Thursday) at 10:30, on the occasion of the National Independence Day - at the grave of Polish Aviators and Cichociemni, at the Vestre Gravlund cemetery in Oslo (Sørkedalsveien 66), a ceremony of laying flowers and commemorating Poland's independence in 1918 will be held.
A common prayer for the fallen and the dead will be led by a priest from the parish in Oslo.
We would also like to inform you that on November 11 at 19.00 p.m. in the Cathedral of St. Olaf in Oslo, a holy mass will be celebrated for the intention of his homeland.
On this special and important Day for every Pole, let us pay respect to all those who did not hesitate to give up their lives to regain the freedom of their homeland.
May the National Independence Day continue to be a symbol of the longed-for freedom and harmony among Poles.
