Halvor Egner Granerud (25) is determined ahead of the new ski jumping season. He believes he can win "anything" this season.

Granerud is entering this season with expectations after he had a record eleven World Cup victories last season and won by a huge lead. Before the season opening in Russia's Nizhny Tagil, he is naturally aware that he is happy to continue the winning trend.

– The goal is to win the general classification of the World Cup. This is the main goal and as a sub-point, to win gold at the Olympics, to win the tournament of four ski jumping hills and the World Ski Jumping Championships skiing says NTB.

Season started from 3rd place

Halvor Egner Granerud was leading after the first half but in the World Cup premiere in jumping fell to third place. Karl Geiger won in front of Ryoyu Kobayashi.

Granerud landed at 133 meters and after the first round he was 0,7 points ahead of Geiger. In the final, Germany landed 133 meters and Granerud only 125. Thus, Geiger won by 8,7 points over Japanese Kobayashi, who finished third in the first half.

. How did the Poles fare?

Our jumpers started calmly. Niżny Tagił again did not turn out to be lucky for the Polish jumpers. Their inauguration of the World Cup season was very average. In Russia, Karl Geiger and the defenders of the Crystal Ball, Halvor Egner Granerud, had the most reasons for joy.

The classification of our jumpers after the first jumps this season:

Kamil Stoch place 12 points- 45
Dawid Kubacki place 22 points- 20
Piotr Żyła place 23 points- 15
Andrzej Stękała. 39th place - 1st

We support our Eagles, we know it's worth it and they will surprise us more than once !!!
