The small plane crashed completely when it hit the ground outside Larvik on Tuesday morning. Police say there is no hope of finding survivors from the accident.

"When we say that we have no hope of finding survivors, we mean there has been a serious injury and a serious accident," says Larvik Tore Eriksen's Chief of Police at a press briefing on Tuesday at 12.00.

The police were notified at 9.21:XNUMX AM by a witness who said the plane was falling to the ground. The plane was located and at the scene of the accident. Police forensic technicians are now on site, along with dog patrols and an accident investigation commission, to search for the alleged dead and find the cause of the crash.

Police have so far not confirmed how many people were on board the plane when it fell. At 12 o'clock, they focused on notifying their relatives first.

The plane was found in Tvedalen in the municipality of Larvik, west of the city of Larvik.

The head of the police task force, Jon Terje Stäheli, says the plane crashed completely and that there was a fire in the area. Consequently, fire crews were also dispatched.

Stäheli describes the area where the plane crashed as being uneven with many steep slopes.

The task manager does not know if the pilot was successful in sending the emergency message.
