The plane crashed in Larvik

Emergency services arrived at the site where a small plane crashed in Larvik on Tuesday. The extent of the damage is currently unknown.

- We found a plane that fell. Rescue teams and rescue teams are on site, says NTB chief of police station Tor Eriksen.

At. At 9.21, witnesses notified emergency services about the plane crash.

The plane was found in Tvedalen, west of the city of Larvik. Eriksen does not know yet whether any of those on the plane have been found, how many people were on board, or what the damage is.

It also does not know what the plane is or where it took off from. There are several lakes in the area.

- We are now working on a review, we will come back with details at a later date, says Eriksen.

According to Østlands-Posten, the plane fell in Vestmunnvannet.

Vegtrafikksentralen reports that district road 2962 between Tvedalen and Kjose and is closed due to an accident.

"We were able to confirm what kind of plane we are talking about, and I can say that it is a relatively small twin-engine plane that was quite new," says Halvorsen.

Update from 15:15. Police confirm that three people died in the plane crash in Larvik. The plane was from Pilot Flight Academy and took off from Torp Airport today. One of the deceased was an instructor at an aviation school, and the other two were students, the press release reads.
