The Minister of Petroleum and Energy received * PDO from Equinor and partners in Stavanger.

Partners at the Oseberg Area Unit will reduce CO2 emissions from the Oseberg Field Center and the Oseberg South Platform. At the same time, gas production from the deposit will increase. The goal is to develop the Oseberg field from a major oil producer to a major gas producer.

- Nice to receive a revised Oseberg development plan. The project will contribute to increasing the production of oil and gas from the deposit. There are profitable additional resources that will contribute many billions to the community, says Marte Mjøs Persen.

The Minister of Petroleum and Energy received * PDO

The plan is to install two new compressors to increase gas production at the Oseberg facility. At the same time, the platforms will be partially electrified Electricity from land. It is estimated that over 70 percent investment in the modernization of Oseberg will go to suppliers in Norway. The new facility is scheduled to be launched in 2026.

The goal is to develop the Oseberg field into a major gas producer

* PDO is: An oil field development and exploitation plan, often abbreviated as PDO. It is a planning document for an oil field on the NCS. Pursuant to the act, the concessionaire who has decided to develop the field must submit such a document to the authorities for approval.
