Damage from extreme weather "Hans" continues to increase

According to Finans Norge, insurance companies in Norway have so far registered up to 7 reported claims by insurers to buildings, contents and land.

Compensation for these damages, which have already been reported, can be estimated at around NOK 1,6 billion, according to calculations by the Norwegian Natural Damage Pool. Currently, we do not know what part is covered by the natural damage insurance system and what part is covered by ordinary insurance.

According to the Norwegian press, a railway bridge in Ringebu collapsed on Monday. One of the pillars of this bridge broke. Two of the three spans of this over 170-meter-long steel bridge have fallen into the river.
