Gyda's extreme weather caused problems until Thursday night. E39 is closed at two sites in the municipality of Heim, and at three sites in Møre og Romsdal, residents have been evacuated.

Despite evacuated residents and numerous reports of damage, it may seem that the strongest storm is yet to come.

NVE writes on its website on Thursday that this is the day with the highest probability of incidents.

- Water flow will continue to increase and is expected to peak on Thursday or Friday morning. It depends on both changes in rainfall and temperature, says Brigt Samdal, director of NVE's landslide and watercourse department.
