Stavanger Municipality already has a free First Class SFO. Now prices have also been reduced by NOK 500 per month for all students in grades 2 to 4. The application deadline is April 15th.

For the Municipality of Stavanger, the after-school program is a very important social and educational arena for our children. First-grade students already have free SFO. Parents only pay for food. In connection with the action plan and the financial plan, the political majority allocated 17 million NOK per year to reduce SFO prices by NOK 500. This is a monthly discount for all students in grades 2-4.

- Stavanger has gone from one of the highest SFO prices in the country to one of the lowest compared to other major cities. It means a lot to families with young children who live here. It also helps to make the city more attractive for people after emigration - says Dag Mossige, who is acting deputy mayor.

You pay for SFO 11 months of the year

From August 1, 2022, the following prices apply:

  • 100% storage: CZK 2688 per month
  • 60% storage: CZK 1613 per month

Students who already have a place in the SFO keep their place and will not apply again.

The application deadline for new children this year is April 15, and all information on moderation can be found at https://www.stavanger.kommune.no/sfo
