Death sentence in Norway

This story shocked the entire editorial office of Radio Wataha. Aleksandra and her fight for justice require these few words and an article. The story of the fight for the truth and the lives of his three four-legged friends. Let's start from the beginning…

a series of strange events...

This story was supposed to take a different course, and the move to Norway was supposed to be a dream come true about a new, better life for our heroine, her daughter and her animal companions. Aleksandra rented a hytta on the island of Østeroy, 50 km away Bergen, far from civilization. She wanted to enjoy peace and quiet... She also wanted her dogs to have good living conditions (space to run, lots of greenery around...). Aleksandra's love for pets is so great she started working at night to be with them during the day.

Long walks became a daily ritual and so... one day - at the beginning of April 2021, an incident occurred. A farmer living nearby suddenly released his sheep. The dogs got scared and in desperation they attacked and bit the sheep. Aleksandra did not shy away from punishment. She took the blame and paid the police a fine of PLN 12 thousand NOK and the host NOK 6800 in compensation. Aleksandra and her daughter continued to lead a seemingly peaceful life. They tried to forget about this unpleasant event.

The beginning of an endless battle ...

However, fate wanted it otherwise. This event was the beginning of the battle. Fights for the truth and life of our "lesser brothers". A year passed. The police knocked on the door of Aleksandra's family. It turned out that a similar incident occurred last year. Three sheep were bitten. Our heroine was sure that her dogs had nothing to do with it. They spent the whole day at home. However, the police quickly combined it for their own purposes both events. She searched the apartment for traces of blood. Of course she found nothing. The topic went quiet... But only for a moment. On April 19 this year, the police showed up again.

This time with hycel. The caregiver received a letter in Norwegian. It showed that her dogs were accused of biting three sheep and were to be taken away until the matter was resolved. Without thinking twice, Aleksandra hired a lawyer. Then the second one. The case stood still. Only the third lawyer, Elisabeth Jensen, really cared about this story and started to really help. In the meantime, on May 08, Sunday, a decision was signed to put the dogs to sleep. Disturbing and harmful information. The situation was escalating and becoming very serious.

It is worth noting that the verdict was based on false testimony of the sheep owner and his partner. The verdict was signed by Liv Giertsen, a civilian, inspector for foreigners. She also ruled that the dogs were aggressive. Aleksandra started fighting against time. She published a post in social media asking for support. She also opened all possible contacts. First of all, she called or wrote to Polish Pro Animal Organizations. To Katarzyna Piekarska, MP from the Parliamentary Group of Friends of Animals, to Katarzyna Śliwa President of the Foundation's Management Board for Animal Protection Rights "Mondo Cane" and many similar organizations in Poland and abroad. To the Management Board of the Szymon Hołownia Association, to Jerzy Owsiak, to the President of the Republic of Poland, to Prime Minister Kaczyński and Ziobro, to the Polish Embassy in Oslo...

"My dogs are the whole world to me ..." - about boundless, interspecies love ...

The sheep farmer threatened our heroine. Despite requests and offers for consent, he is adamant. He cares about money and for the dogs to be put to sleep. No arguments speak to his hard heart ... The police also took water in their mouths ...

Aleksandra was forced to set up a fundraiser for a hotel where her four-legged friends are now staying, and for a further court battle. Our heroine has been suffering from dysthymia and deep depression for 20 years, and these dogs ... are her sense, the driving force behind her. They are her family!

Let's help Alexander. In the name of solidarity of the good and sensitive, to the harm of every being of heart ... Only with the appropriate support of Aleksander can he defend the truth and the life of his four-legged companions.
