New home sales are at their lowest level in October since 2013, new figures from ECON show.
Since mid-August, 1801 new homes have been sold. That's 5 percent. less than in the previous two-month period and by 48 percent. less than in the same period last year. There have not been such low sales since 2013.
These figures appear in a report by ECON, which maintains a database with an overview of price and sales trends in residential projects. ECON is powered by Samfunnskokonis Analyze.
According to data from Boligproduktorenes Forening, sales of new homes in September 2022 was 19 percent. lower than sales in the same month of 2021 .
In total, sales of new homes in the third quarter are up 25 percent. lower than in the corresponding quarter of 2021. So there is a clear downward trend in new home sales.
On average, houses in Norway cost NOK 64 per square meter. That's 6 percent. more than at the same time last year. The price is the highest in eastern Norway and amounts to NOK 70.
The real estate broker is EiendomsMegler 1, and the developer is OBOS, which sold the most apartments in this period.
