According to data from Gjeldsregisteret AS, which collects information on unsecured loans to individuals in Norway, total consumer debt increased by NOK 3,3 billion (2,2%) compared to the previous year and amounted to PLN 2023 at the end of March 153,5. billion NOK. Of the debt pool, the interest-bearing part increased by NOK 0,8 billion and the interest-free part by NOK 2,5 billion. The percentage of borrowers who took out more than five loans in the last year and were registered with the Gjeldsregisteret fell further to 5,0%. at the end of March 2023. This group accounted for 40,5 percent. total credits used.

Volume of outstanding consumer loans

Sample survey companies offering consumer loans in Norway conducted by Finanstilsynet showed a decline in the volume of loans to Norwegian customers by 2,1%. The volume of outstanding consumer loans has decreased over the last year, which is related to the sale of non-performing loans and reduced lending. Debt collection cases

At the end of 2022, 18 debt collection companies had consumer debts to be recovered. In total, they covered 635 debt collection cases related to consumer debt, which means a decrease of 700 debt collection cases compared to the end of 32. Outstanding capital (original debt) in debt collection cases related to consumer debt at the end of 200 amounted to PLN 2021 billion NOK. By the end of 2022, 33,4 percent. debt collection cases related to consumer debts lasted over 2022 months. The distribution of debt collection cases related to consumer debt at the end of 76 by the amount of capital (original debt) shows that almost half of the debts fall into the category with capital between NOK 18 and 2022.
