This date commemorates the adoption by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland in 2004 of the Act on the emblem, colors and anthem of the Republic of Poland and on state seals. This act, in addition to formalizing the national symbols of Poland, also defined their use and the rules of conduct in the event of their violation.

On the Flag Day of the Republic of Poland, ceremonies related to this date are held all over the country. This is an important moment when Poles show their patriotism and respect for the national symbols of the country.

The aim of this holiday is to promote respect for the flag and disseminate knowledge about Polish identity and national symbols. On this day, Poles proudly display flags at homes and state institutions. The Polish flag is with us at all important moments. During solemn and solemn events, but also on days of mourning for the loss of outstanding and brave Poles, in moments of emotion and joy.

The Polish flag is one of the most important symbols of the country. It consists of two horizontal stripes: white at the top and red at the bottom. According to the legend, these colors come from the Polan coat of arms, which depicted a white eagle on a red background.

It is worth remembering that the flag is not only a piece of material, but above all a symbol of values worth fighting for and cherishing. Therefore, the Flag Day of the Republic of Poland is an excellent opportunity to remind ourselves of the importance of these values and show respect for the flag and national symbols.

It should also be recalled that on the same day 2 maja We also celebrate the Day of the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad.
