Norwegian Armed Forces: Exercises in Oslo from April 15 to 19

The exercise is part of the annual HV-02 exercise series. Practical classes will be held in five districts, including the Alna district. The other districts are Gamle Oslo, Bjerke, Grorud and Søndre Nordstrand.

From April 15 to 19, Norwegian army exercises in Oslo

Areas exercise will be marked with the words "military exercises underway" and there will be staff in yellow vests on site to respond to public inquiries. HV-02 will notify neighbors if buildings are close to the exercise area.

The Norwegian Armed Forces are training in Oslo

Soldiers will be visible in the city landscape, and in some places there may be disruptions to traffic. However, the exercises are to be carried out in such a way that the inconvenience to the civilian population is as minimal as possible.

The exercises are intended to strengthen the ability to deal with threats and incidents in the urban environment

Activity soldiers will take place mainly during the day and evening, but exercises can also take place at night. Training must take place in cities to strengthen the ability to deal with threats and incidents in urban environments.

HV-02 cooperates very well with the Oslo municipal authorities and the police in implementing training.
