Hadia Tajik – .-  AAP allowance

Since 2018, the so-called one-year waiting period for people who have been on unemployment benefit (AAP) for three years. The government will change that.

In addition, the government will amend the exemption rules to extend the AAP beyond three years and introduce a transitional regime, the press release reads.

- These are important measures to prevent AAP participants from dropping out of the program before clarification. More people will have the situation explained and help to get back to work. Informs Minister of Labor and Social Integration Hadia Tajik (Labor Party).

The currently proposed rule change must be combined with careful and good observation of the AAP recipients. Overall, there is a need to learn more about the structure and effects of the follow-up received by AAP recipients and how it developed. It is planned that the AAP audience follow-up procedure will be launched soon.

- In the light of the provisions of the introduced changes. It may be justified to return to other amendments to the AAP regulations at a later date, points out Hadia Tajik, Minister of Labor and Social Integration.

The changes to the AAP rules introduced by the previous government in 2018 have generated a lot of controversy.
