The government decided to lift regional restrictions. The development of the epidemiological situation indicates that municipalities can now switch to normal national regulations. The changes are effective from midnight on the night of Wednesday, May 26.

– The positive development of the epidemiological situation in Viken continues. Following the advice of the Health Authority and the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, the government decided to withdraw regional restrictions. It is now up to the municipalities themselves to assess the need for local restrictions in addition to normal national regulations. Some municipalities have already implemented or are in the process of doing so
introducing such local restrictions - said Minister of Health and Care Bent Høie.

The following municipalities remove the level of restrictions B (high level of restrictions) from Wednesday 26 May inclusive:

Lorenskog, Ullensaker

The following communes remove the level of restrictions C (quite high level of
restrictions) from Wednesday 26 May inclusive:
Lillestrøm, Nordre Follo, Rælingen, Ås
