On Friday, the government will present to the Storting a bill to change universal access to temporary work. Informs the Labor Minister Hadia Tajik.
- The main principle of Norwegian working life is permanent employment - says Hadia Tajik in press release .
It is currently implementing the promise made by Labor and the Center Party on the Hurdal platform to remove universal access to temporary employment in the Work Environment Act. On Friday, the government will present a draft law on this matter to the Storting. It was decided in the cabinet on the same day.
The provision on universal access to temporary work for up to one year was introduced under Solberg in 2015. The Labor Party has long promised to abolish this rule.
– Changing the law is part of the action government to strengthen workers' right to permanent employment and facilitating a safe and organized working life, says Tajicki.
