The carnival period has started!
Carnival is a period of games, parties and balls that end the Lenten season.
The beginning of Carnival is Epiphany and ends with Ash Wednesday. The beginning of Carnival has a fixed date of January 6, but the day on which this period ends is flexible because Ash Wednesday it's appropriate on different dates depending on the date of Easter. This year, the carnival will end on February 13, the day before Valentine's Day.
Some of us are departing from the tradition of celebration. However, those who like to participate in this type of games have five partying weekends ahead of them.

Carnival comes from the Italian word carnevale from Latin: carnem levāre ("Remove meat") This means saying goodbye to the meat before Lent begins.
Carnival comes from fertility cults. It has long been believed that the higher you jump in dancing, the higher the grain will be produced. This is one of the reasons why Carnival is so closely related to dancing.
