It is today that a new regulation enters into force, thanks to which our personal data is to be protected more carefully than before. Although in the digital age the citizen is not able to feel completely safe, the GDPR will certainly have a positive impact on the quality of life, even in a virtual space. In the real world, however, the decline in unemployment in Poland can be felt more and more - it has not been so good for many years!

Unemployment is falling

The unemployment rate in Poland is getting lower and lower - currently it is the lowest result since 1990. Last month it was 6,3% - 0,3% less than in March. According to the data of the Central Statistical Office, the number of newly registered people in Poviat Labor Offices this year is approximately 126. It should be mentioned that in fact there are even fewer unemployed. Unfortunately, many Poles still find work in the "shadow economy". According to money.pl, every tenth citizen of our country prefers even partial employment "illegally" for fear of a bailiff or the loss of assistance funds. The highest unemployment is recorded in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodship, where it is over 5% higher than the national average. The most important thing, however, is that even there the number of unemployed people is regularly decreasing - the situation is improving in all regions of Poland. On the other hand, the lowest unemployment is in the Wielkopolskie voivodship, where the unemployment rate is only 3,8%.

GDPR - a revolution in the protection of personal data

The EU regulation on the protection of personal data takes effect from today. The regulation is aimed at ensuring the free flow of personal data between the countries of the European Union. At the same time, it will limit the trade of information about us, which will translate into a smaller number of nuisance calls or marketing messages. The changes will be noticeable on many levels of social life - even on the doors of doctor's offices, their specializations will cease to appear, so that other patients do not know about our diseases. Entrepreneurs, in turn, will be able to use the data of their employees or people applying for a given position only for a specific purpose. Large companies where personal data theft occur will only have three days to notify the relevant institutions about the leak. The data protection officer will now be responsible for the security and monitoring of our data, as well as the preparation of reports on possible breaches.
