Dorota P. was to testify again, but last Thursday she was admitted to the clinic with acute dyspnea. She already died on Saturday. Before her death, she managed to give an interview for Gazeta Wyborcza, during which she confessed, among other things, that during the 2004 trial, she was interfered with by policemen. They urged her to confirm that she recognized Tomasz Komenda. In the end, she decided to testify against him because - as she herself stated - she was already mentally exhausted by the whole thing. These words shed new light on the most famous dissertation in recent years.

NIK: The Ministry of Health has set a tender for PLN 24 million

The Supreme Audit Office has presented its latest report. It shows, inter alia, the fact that Polish state authorities abuse the provisions that allow them to submit public contracts without a tender, if their value does not exceed PLN 30 zlotys. The auditors also found that the Ministry of Health had set up a tender for the purchase of 16 dentbuses with a total value of PLN 24 million. In the terms of the contract, ministerial officials included a provision that eliminated most base vehicle manufacturers, and it concerned the mandatory heated windshield. According to the Supreme Audit Office, such a condition clearly indicates that the entire tender was set up for specific entities. The inspectors also found that the Ministry of Justice had incorrectly transferred PLN 25 million to the CBA. These funds came from the Injured Aid Fund. Now NIK will submit a notification of violation of public finance discipline.

The Norwegian government wants to increase the presence of the US military

Norwegian government announced on Tuesday that it would make an official request to the United States to double the number of American soldiers stationed in Norway. At the same time, they will request their transfer from Vaernes to Setermoen, which is only 420 km from the border with Russia. Let us recall that the American government has only increased the US Marines to 330 soldiers over the last year, despite Russia's loud opposition. However, as the Norwegian Minister of Defense - Frank Bakke-Jensen - emphasizes, he will strive to increase this number to 700 soldiers, as well as to transfer them closer to the Russian border. All this for fear of Russian actions in the international arena, which contributed, among others, to to the annexation of Crimea in 2014. Thus, Norway joins the countries that feel threatened by the country ruled by Putin. Last Friday, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland appealed to NATO to discuss increasing the level of security in Central and Eastern Europe.
