Highlanders in Norway
100th anniversary of Poland's independence is an opportunity to promote Polish culture and folklore abroad. In September, Highlanders will come to present their characteristic dance, singing and costumes. The event will be invited, among others Norwegian entrepreneurs who will be able to learn about Polish folk culture.
An agreement was reached with the Ambassador and the Consul of the Republic of Poland
The Polish community in Norway, which has been living in this country for many years, reached an agreement with the Ambassador and the Consul of the Republic of Poland in Oslo. For the 100th anniversary Poland's Independence A September event is planned, for which it is planned to bring the "Regional Team of Klimek Bachleda”, run by Jan Karpiel Bułecka. The idea is based on this Polish people employed in Norwegian companies came to the performance together with their employers. Highlanders in Norway - Tickets are now on sale
According to the organizers of the event - Grażyna and Przemysław Zagierscy and Grzegorz Schiele - tickets are now available for PLN 200 Norwegian kroner. The income from the sale will be entirely used to cover the costs of the event, in particular to cover the costs of transporting the team, providing them with attractions during their stay, and to pay their fees. About the organizers
Przemysław Zagierski is a recognized propagator of Polish culture Norway. He has many publications on: Polish diaspora in Norway. His popularizing activities were immortalized, among others, by: in a video on his YT channel entitled "Highlanders in Norway".

Regional Team for them. Klimek Bachledy - or Highlanders in Norway
The highlanders in Norway will be represented by the "Regional Team named after Klimek Bachledy” led by Jan Karpiel Bułecka. Although its members perform as amateurs, their professional approach to presenting Polish folk culture cannot be denied native from Podhale. The quality of their performances also says a lot about the fact that on November 25, 2017, the band celebrated its 65th anniversary. The band was founded in 1952 by the Podhale People's Association in Zakopane. During their performances, they present not only folk costumes, singing and dancing. The artistic program also includes such issues as rituals, playing old instruments, poetry, art and theater performances. They also produced the first highland opera Fri "Jadwisia pod Regla".
