Poles entered the competition as part of the Summer Grand Prix in ski jumping without leading jumpers. A chance was given to two Polish players who do not get into Team A on a daily basis - Krzysztof Biegun and Andrzej Stękala. For the first of them the hill in Hakuba was happy a year ago - in the LGP he won there. This art failed in the last competition.

No success

The forecasts for the competition in Hakuba under the LGP were not the best. Krzysztof Biegun was regularly in the last place in training, while Andrzej Stękała was not much better. The predictions were confirmed and the Poles took the last two places. Last year's winner jumped 101 meters and finished in the last, 37th place. Andrzej Stękała flew a little further - with a distance of 109,5 meters he finished the competition in the penultimate, 36th place. A total of 41 competitors took part in the competition, but as many as four of them were disqualified.

The best Ryoyu Kobayashi

The competition in Hakuba was won by Ryoyu Kobayashi, who came first with 1 meters and 131,5 meters. The second was Evgeny Klimov with jumps of 128 and 131 meters. The podium was closed by Daiki Ito, who soared at a distance of 125,5 and 125,5 meters. The third Japanese, Taku Takeuchi, was just behind the podium, landing at 126 and 130,5 meters.

Kamil Stoch's advantage is diminishing

After Friday's competition in Hakuba, Kamil Stoch is still the leader in the general classification of LGP. His lead, however, dropped to 15 points, and he is being chased by Russian Yevgeny Klimov. There are many indications that the leader will change after Saturday's competition. The competition will also be held in Hakuba on August 25 at 11:30 Polish time.

As a consolation, let us add that Kamil Stoch is the leader of the general classification, despite the fact that he has not participated in the last three competitions. He will also not jump on Saturday and will probably wear a yellow shirt by Yevgeny Klimov. Let us remind you - in the first three competitions Kamil Stoch won, and in Einsiedeln he was the winner equally first place with Piotr Żyła. So far, Dawid Kubacki, Jakub Wolny and Stefan Hula also held high positions.
