Interview with Marek Bracha
How do you like Norway?
I like it very much! This is my second visit to this country. The last time I was in Norway was over 4 years ago. It was spring - I admit that it is actually cooler now (laughs). However, I like the atmosphere, which is extremely warm. The hall itself is beautiful, I had a lot of fun playing here. It should be emphasized that there is also a great piano here, so there is nothing else but to come here and play recitals.
I know you play shows all over the world. How did we fare against the rest of the world as the Norwegian Polonia?
Personally, I would not even distinguish whether it is the Norwegian Polonia or any other national minority. The audience, on the other hand, was fantastic, I think they listened to the whole show with a lot of attention. I always try to connect with the audience through a comment or a word during the performance. It worked here as well - I could see the audience reacting to it. Even for those less known works, but those that fit into the context of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Poland's Independence.
Will we see you again in Norway?
I hope! As of today, I do not have specific plans to come to Norway, but as I said - there is a nice and grateful atmosphere here. Also, the people I met at Fredrikstad are really great and lovely. There are also those I remember a few years ago. It is very nice to spend my time here.
What event did you remember throughout your entire musical career?
I try to treat each new adventure, concert or trip abroad as the most important one. This allows you to approach it more emotionally. There were many such key moments, full of different impressions. As the saying goes - "an artist is as good as his last concert". That is why, despite everything, the upcoming events and those that took place recently are always the most important.
