Severe rescue conditions
Immediately after the explosion, a rescue operation began underground. Unfortunately, on Friday morning, the press reported that only one body had been excavated so far. In addition, the rescue and search operation was canceled due to the very high level of methane concentration and the still occurring fire. Not only Czech rescuers take part in the action, but also two Polish troops from the Central Mine Rescue Station in Bytom.
