In the original assumption, the agreement provided for the reduction of exhaust emissions by 40%. Reason for the adoption new EU climate targets on exhaust emissions with such a drastic reduction is the fact that many manufacturers intend to expand their offer electric cars. A challenge for the transport sector

According to statistics, almost 2/3 of exhaust fumes are emitted by heavy goods vehicles that carry out transport services for people and goods. Taking into account the specifics of the industry, the aforementioned agreement stipulates that pollution resulting from transport will be 30% lower, not 37,5% as in the case of passenger cars.

What does this mean for Norway?

Establishing new climate assumptions from the Norwegian consumer point of view means a wider range of electric cars and low-emission cars. The changes can be felt over the course the next few years.
