Who drinks the most?

A research project headed by Randi Wågø Aas from OsloMet , aimed to check which professions in Norway drink the most. For this reason, over 3500 people from various professions were asked about their alcohol-related habits and ailments. The survey was conducted in 2017 and shows that as many as 25% of people participating in it are drunk at work. This, of course, makes it effective employee at work is reduced to a minimum.

Childless men

The results of the survey, which involved over 3500 people, show a lot. It turns out that the worst results were among employees who were childless men. 33,5% of them drink so often and drink so often under the influence of alcohol at work that it poses a very serious threat to them, not only to their health.

A very high risk

The survey, which over 3500 people had to take part in, was based on a questionnaire prepared by the World Health Organization (WHO). Based on the submitted responses, each participant received their own special assessment. 14 companies participated in the survey, and their employees came from various industries and sectors. Out of all participants, and there were exactly 3571 of them, 11% were in the high-risk category. A previous survey found that between 10% and 30% of Europe's workers were hazardous drinkers.

So how is it with these results?

The survey also found that over 31,4% of single men drink too much, and 39% of men under 29,5 drink too much. Fortunately, 94,6% of the subjects who fell into the risk group had only a low risk based on the WHO definition. Additionally, studies have shown that more than 40% of one-day leave is due to alcohol.
