Norwegian police warn about difficult driving conditions. Monday morning started with several road accidents caused by a slippery surface. It is worst in southern and western Norway. 

Heavy road conditions - eastern part of the country

Monday morning did not start well for drivers in the eastern part of the country. The police received several reports of road accidents that occurred due to the slippery road surface. The police especially warn against riding on the E6.

Events on E6

The police have also been warning drivers passing through the E6 since the morning. Several road accidentsthat occurred there today, led to very large traffic jams in the north and south directions. One such case was a car that had a power outage. The second vehicle drove off the road in Berger, but was quickly removed from the scene so as not to threaten the safety of other drivers.

Night snowfall

Harsh conditions road conditions are caused by overnight snowfall - says a meteorologist from Norway Meteorological Institute, Eldbjørg Moxnes. The expert also adds that unfavorable road conditions will only appear in the morning, the rest of the day will be friendly to drivers. 

Road accidents

The harsh road conditions also made themselves felt yesterday. One accident occurred on district road No. 120 in Rælingen in Akershus. Three people took part in the event, driving two cars. The police informed about the incident at 13:00 p.m. One of the three people was taken to Akershus University Hospital with minor injuries.
