Family allowance in Norway.

Good news for people receiving child benefit in Norway - from March 1, 2019, the amount has increased by 84 kronor. This is the first such large increase in almost 20 years. However, the situation is not as colorful as it might seem. Along with the increase in family benefits, the prices for kindergartens in Norway also go up.

The Minister for Children and Family Affairs, Kjell, Ingolf Ropstad, on NRK's Political Quarter, said: "We intend to increase child benefit by SEK 7.200, and this month we are witnessing the first increase in twenty years."

The government has serious plans and wants to allocate as much as 0 billion crowns over the next two years to increase the family allowance for children aged 6-3,3.

Norwegian family - kindergarten prices up

Unfortunately, not every family in... Norway will enjoy an annual income 1.000 crowns. As a result of the increases, this amount will be allocated by many families to pay for their child's pre-school education. The Labor Party notices this problem, which does not fill us with excessive optimism.

Higher family allowance in Norway, more expensive kindergartens - what does the opposition say?

Storting Martin of the Labor Party addressed these changes as follows:
“Where the government prefers to pay more cash benefits, for example in the form of a larger child benefit, Labor prioritizes all systemic changes, bringing benefits to all.”

Henriksen suggests a compromise: “We are offering, among other things, cheaper school clubs and school food. These are alternative methods of helping families with the lowest incomes. They give them measurable financial savings, but also make it easier to combine raising children and work. "

Family allowance in Norway - to whom is it paid?
