The elimination of the seasonal clock shift has long been discussed. The idea of ​​resigning from the troublesome change of clocks germinated for a long time. Yesterday (March 26.03.2019, 2021), a special debate was held on changes in this area. According to the latest forecasts, we will probably reset the clocks for the new season in XNUMX for the last time.

Seasonal time change - from idea to implementation…. Why is it taking so long?

The European Parliament has finally decided to address the problem of seasonal time change, referring to the latest research results among European societies. Test reports show clearly time change generates virtually no savings. He has for it negative influence cheers. By analyzing the breakthrough days of the time change, we can find out that the day after the time change occurs larger number car accidents than on weekdays, heart attacks. Then we are tired and we do not have good concentration. It is also worth mentioning that each time change generates problems and introduces chaos at stations, airports, etc. Therefore, it was decided to take a closer look at this issue and make specific decisions.

At this point, however, time zones become a problem. Poland hopes that countries such as France or Germany will stay in the summer time. Due to this fact, we will have to wait a while for the implementation of the idea of ​​MEPs.

Eliminating seasonal clock changes - how the votes in the European Parliament were distributed:

653 MEPs voted.
410 - for,
192 against,
51 abstained.

Seasonal time shift - where did it come from?

Why we change the clocks? What is the origin of this? Wanting to find the answer to these questions for the most part countries European countries, we have to go back to the times of the First and Second World Wars or the oil crisis of the 70s. In the 80s. From the 80s, individual countries gradually began to introduce time changes to avoid discrepancies in individual countries. All Europeans present clocks since 1996:
