Norway wants to increase the number of refugees the country will accept for a year. One of the proposals is that more than 5000 refugees could come to the country of fjords annually. This idea is related to the implementation of the liberalization of asylum policy. Its author is Sondre Hansmark, leader of Unge Venstre.

What is it about?

Increasing the number of refugees admitted annually to Norway is a new idea. It has already received support from liberal circles. The number of 5000, i.e. the annual limit of refugees that Norway can accept annually, is a limit imposed by the UN. However, Hansmark believes that this number is absolutely minimal. The reason for this decision, Venstre cites the fact that nearly 70 million people flee each year from a country at risk of war. This is a lot, hence the idea to give it a greater chance number of people to live a normal and, above all, safe life.

End of tough asylum policy in Norway

Norway is currently a country that has one of the strictest asylum policies in the world. He points out that this state of affairs led, among others, to to the crisis that will hit Norway in 2015. To prevent a similar situation from occurring, Hansmark wants to increase the number of refugees who can be admitted to Norway. This is an idea to fight against the harsh asylum policy, which, as we know, has not brought any results Nothing good for Norway.

Hansmark's liberal politics

The idea of increasing the number of refugees is not the only proposal from Hansmark. Others include, among others decriminalizing prostitution and removing the clause on pimping. Another idea is to stop such in-depth digital surveillance of the inhabitants of Norway. This is a big problem at the moment.

Summarizing…

Ideas for system changes, presented by Sondre Hansmark, however, did not receive the support of the opposition. His policies have been described as dangerous. The opposition leader also emphasized that the attitude represented by Hansmark is very typical of young people who are not aware of the real threats that such actions may entail.
