Hubei. Due to a very strong epidemiological outbreak, the Norwegian authorities decided to help in the evacuation of Norwegians from the Chinese province of Hubei. The coronavirus outbreak there is very strong and the evacuation is aimed at ensuring the safety of Norwegian citizens. At the same time, the information provided by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is reassuring: There is a small number of Norwegian citizens in the Hubei province.
Coronavirus: Norwegian evacuation from Hubei
Coronavirus is spreading faster and faster. Its largest focus, however, is in China, in the Hubei province. Therefore, the Norwegian authorities work very closely with representatives of other European countries to ensure the safety of their citizens. Unfortunately, due to the fact that in Norway there is no obligation to inform about stays abroad, the Ministry does not have precise information on how many citizens are in the infected province.
Not only Norway supports the evacuation of its citizens
The evacuation of the citizens of their countries from the Hubei province was undertaken not only by Norway. Such actions were also observed in representatives of other countries. Among them, first of all, Japan, the United States and Great Britain should be mentioned. The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also said that around 150 Norwegian students are studying in Hong Kong in China. However, none of them is in the area infected by the virus. At the same time, the Hong Kong authorities introduced a state of emergency due to the spreading epidemic. In their opinion, however, there is no need to worry as the Hong Kong area has not been contaminated with the virus. However, this situation could change at any time, which is why all precautionary measures have been put in place.
