A good and safe working environment in your digital working life

Digitalization creates new opportunities in terms of efficiency and productivity, but also new challenges in the working environment. Currently, the "" campaign is launched, the aim of which is to raise awareness of the impact of digitalization on professional life. – writes the Norwegian Labor Inspectorate in a press release

The campaign is organized by the European Occupational Safety and Health Administration (EU-OSHA). The aim is to raise awareness of the impact of new digital technologies on work and workplaces and how they should be dealt with. The Norwegian Labor Inspectorate is running a campaign in Norway in cooperation with Norwegian the Working Environment Institute (STAMI) and the employers' and employees' associations dealing with Norwegian working life.

– Changes in the digitalization we are in are happening quickly. Therefore, it is important for companies to keep a close eye on how this affects their own work environment. Companies must keep pace with developments by mapping and assessing risks even better, creating good action plans and implementing measures to improve the working environment, says director Trude Vollheim of the Norwegian Labor Inspectorate.

First webinar

The Norwegian Labor Inspectorate is kicking off the campaign with a kick-off webinar on October 25.

What does it take to successfully use digital solutions at work, such as artificial intelligence, robotization, machine learning or stress sensors? We will try to answer this question during the webinar "".

Five priority areas

The campaign highlights five priority areas where digitalization can impact the working environment:

  • working on digital platforms
  • robotics: task automation
  • remote and hybrid work
  • personnel management using artificial intelligence
  • intelligent digital systems

Throughout the duration of the campaign, Arbeidstilsynet will organize various advisory activities within five priority areas.
