As we know, Barnevernet has been a very dynamic institution in the land of fjords for a long time. Some people are afraid of this organ, others are happy to hear this name because it helps them a lot. Today in our conversation we touched on all the important issues related to contact with Barnevernet representatives. As it turns out, it is worth staying calm and not showing aggression or reluctance. It always has the opposite effect. Many people call this institution "child thieves", "evil incarnate". Is this really the case? In addition to the conversation in our studio, we also present a recording of the conversation with the Minister of Children, Equality and Integration. Inga Marte Thorkildsen. She answered our questions. She talked about procedures during inspections. She also reassured us that we shouldn't always be afraid.

Barnevernet in Norway - how does it work?

The main assumption of Barnevernet is to help children and care for their well-being. Each possible application must be checked and thoroughly verified. That's the law. However, if the representatives of the center do not notice any disturbing behavior in the family - further activities are of course suspended. What to avoid when visiting the center employees? Certainly aggressive behavior. We Slavs are recognized by some Norwegians as an emotionally expansive and quarrelsome nation. Therefore, nervous behavior can only make our situation more difficult. Let's use a method, common sense and prudence.

What myths arose around Barnevernet?
