This year's mushroom season in Norway is extremely successful and certainly pleases many.

Warm June and rainy July are ideal conditions for the growth of mushrooms in the forests. This combination of temperature and humidity is conducive to the development of various species of mushrooms, which attracts many mushroom picking enthusiasts to the forests.

It is worth remembering to be careful when picking mushrooms to avoid accidentally picking the "wrong ones". That is why it is worth buying, for example, Altas of mushrooms. Knowing and identifying the different species of mushrooms is key to choosing only the edible and tasty ones.

Such a fruitful season can bring many benefits - not only in the form of delicious dishes, but also for health, because mushrooms are a rich source of vitamins and nutrients.

Mushrooms contain a lot of protein, but also vitamins: B1, B2, C and E. They also provide vitamin D, which is practically unheard of in plant foods. They are a source of potassium, phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, copper, iron, selenium and zinc.

For many people, mushroom picking is also a form of relaxation and spending time in the bosom of nature.

We encourage all mushroom lovers to enjoy the abundance in the forest, but also to respect nature and observe the rules of responsible mushroom picking. It is also worth sharing your information about mushrooms with others to promote safe and conscious mushroom picking practices.

Norwegians are not great mushroom pickers. Sometimes they make short trips to pick a "handful" of mushrooms for dinner.
