Po arrival in Norway I met new people. Not as many as you think, but there's always something. Thanks to this, it occurred to me to say what kind of environment Polonia is. Creative, diverse, working in literally any position and anywhere. Fulfilling your dreams. Just like I did.
It takes time to come to something good. Patience pays off.
Polish diaspora in Drammen- I thought that if I did not find a job immediately after my arrival, I would risk the so-called hate from new and old friends. That it shouldn't have mattered to me, I didn't understand until now. I will definitely mention such behaviors one day. Positive discussion is worth its weight in gold these days!
Polish community in Drammen. Football player, teacher, hairdresser, or maybe dentist?
I didn't expect we were the biggest national minority in Norway. Not such a minority after all. Data for the current year 2020 show that for almost 120 thousands of people home country is Poland.
What does it mean? The fact that we operate on various levels. In Drammen, which I am quite close to, I met Polish football groups, a Polish pastry shop, a Polish hairdresser and a Polish beautician. In a word - we are here and we do a lot.
