There is coming a time when we will grapple with a common ailment for almost all of us. How to deal with a cold and how to prevent it?
The first signs
Unfortunately, we often underestimate the first signs of a cold and it is easy for us not to notice it. The feeling of fatigue, breakdown, itching and scratching in the throat - these are the first symptoms that should prompt us to take preventive measures to avoid a serious cold.
Treatment in the initial stage
If we listen to our own body and the directions it sends us, we have a chance to prevent the development of a serious virus. When we start to feel the first symptoms, we should take warm baths or showers, rub the body to stimulate the circulatory system during the bath and pour a cold stream over it. Thanks to such activities, we stimulate the circulatory system. In addition, we should take large doses of vitamins, but in this case it is a year-round recommendation, thanks to which our body will be more resistant and stronger in the fight against infection. An important element is the hydration of the body, drinking large amounts of water and tea with honey and ginger.
Manuka honey
The type of honey is called a natural antibiotic. It comes from New Zealand and is considered a very valuable product in the fight against colds. It is a mixture of protein, carbohydrates, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, flavonoids and phenolic compounds. The pharmacist Grzegorz Carowicz says on the Thenaturefarm website that Manuka honey “has a positive effect on both the prevention and treatment of infections”.
Colds and fever
If there is a fever, it means one thing - our body is fighting. It might seem like a bad sign, but it's quite the opposite. However, it should be remembered that the height of the fever should be controlled. If it reaches 38 degrees, we should beat it with e.g. tea with raspberry juice. It happens that the fever lasts up to several days, then a doctor should be consulted and a cold should not be underestimated.
Watch out for health
Modern times are not conducive to our physical or mental health. Constant rush, racing, and a large dose of stress can cause a lot of sickness and reduce the immunity of our body. Added to this is the fact that we start to underestimate our health more and more often - it becomes our affliction. However, it should be remembered that we have only one health and we should take care of it.
