Performing this obligation is very easy and takes only a few minutes, just log in to the website here, and answer a few questions. But does this apply to the Polish diaspora living in Norway ?. The penalty for failure to participate in the census is PLN 5000.

When can you do it?

The 2021 National Census of Population and Housing is carried out from April 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021.

How can you do?

The obligatory form is the internet self-enumeration.
The complementary method is the census by phone, on the census hotline.

Do I need to do a good job?

According to the Act on Public Statistics, participation in the 2021 National Census of Population and Housing is mandatory.

Polish citizens and foreigners residing in Poland on March 31, 2021
- Polish citizens staying abroad who were registered in Poland on March 31, 2021
- Homeless people in Poland

- Application:

You do not have to make a census, if you were not registered in Poland on 31.03.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX!
(Checking in in Norway does not mean deregistering from Poland, this applies to virtually every country)
Here you can check if you are registered in Poland if you have a trusted profile: https://www.gov.pl/…/  if you are not sure of your registration - it is better to fill in than not fill in and have an unnecessary expense in the form of a penalty of PLN 5000

How to fill in the form?

The electronic form is definitely the preferred form. How to do it?
1. Enter here: https://nsp2021.spis.gov.pl/
2. Choose logging in via PESEL (simpler method)
3. Click "Define Password"
4. Enter: Pesel, mother's maiden name and your password
5. Log in with the defined password and fill in the form
6. You can ask questions to the list here: +48 22 279 99 99
You should complete the form by September 30, 2021 at the latest!

What if I don't fill out the form and I should?

- In the first place, you can expect a call from an enumerator who will want to conduct the inventory over the phone
- In the second place, you can expect an enumerator who will knock on your registered address
- If both methods fail, you can expect a fine of up to PLN 5.000.
- If the office detects that the data you provided is incorrect - most likely you will get a fine depending on the size of the errors. The maximum sentence is 2 years in prison.

Podsumowując:

1. The inventory is obligatory for people registered or living in Poland - I recommend doing it online, it takes really little time. It took me about 10 minutes when I was helping someone who had little to do with the Internet.
2. You are not registered or lived in Poland on 31.03.2021/XNUMX/XNUMX - you don't have to do anything
3. Failure to provide information is subject to a fine of up to PLN 5.000.
4. The deadline is September 30.09.2021, XNUMX, but I recommend that you complete it as soon as possible and have it overcome (for those who are concerned, that is, practically stating. Everyone who has a registration in Poland)
