National measures, which were introduced on March 25, they expire at midnight Wednesday evening. Measures include a ban on alcohol consumption, unnecessary quarantine hotels, advice on visits for a maximum of 2 people, and the two-meter rule at national level.

Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) will present the Storting with the new restrictions on Tuesday. Then it will also explain the current situation of the infection.

- I will present everything on Tuesday morning. I wish the Storting that I could say a few words about plans for the future - said the Prime Minister on Sunday evening.

In Solberg's view, it will then be natural for the government to outline measures that are relevant in the short term.

The prime minister does not want to talk much about the upcoming countermeasures, because that is currently being worked on. However, he says that work is underway on municipal and national funds.

- If there are any national measures, we have to expose everyone in Norway to them, even if the pressure of infection is low. We see outbreaks suddenly appearing in places where people thought they were unlikely to happen.

"Perhaps the biggest challenge is how much local and how much national resources should be," says Solberg, adding that they are also seeing the effects of these restrictions by reducing the number of infections among children without leaving school.

On Tuesday we will find out which restrictions will remain in place legal force, and what our existence in Norway will look like. Unfortunately, not much will probably change yet. LP
