New infection record in Tromsø - considering measures to fight infection

24 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Tromsø in the last 78 hours. Never before in Tromsø had so many been diagnosed in one day.

Według municipalities of 19 people are being isolated due to Covid-242.

At the meeting on Tuesday, Chief Infection Control Physician Trond Brattland will talk about the development of infections in the municipality. Stig Tore Johnsen says the municipality is seriously considering new measures to reduce infection.

On Thursday last week, the commune presented several recommendations - incl. encourages all adults to limit the number of close contacts.

The municipality also encourages the use of home offices more often, keeping more distance from other people in public places, and the use of face masks in rooms where it is difficult to keep distance.

On Tuesday, 22 people were admitted to the University Hospital of Northern Norway in Tromsø.
