DNB removes fraudulent accounts

, and thus ended up working with more customers than ever before. This year, DNB ended cooperation with 1483 clients. As every year, DNB reviewed its clients and decided to terminate cooperation with some of them. The reason for this decision is, among others, the suspicion of 0 money laundering and fraud.

Throughout last year, the bank ended 917 customer relationships, and this is it an increase of over 60 percent before end of this year. When the bank started keeping statistics in this regard in 2017, 783 customer accounts were closed. Today, however, this number is 1483.

– The main reason for the closure is suspicion of... money laundering or fraud, says Rolf Bjerke, head of DNB's investigative department.
