Over 4000 reports of serious side effects after vaccination

The Norwegian Medicines Agency has so far received 44 reports of suspected side effects following vaccination with COVID-461. 19 are classified as serious.

To date, more than 8,9 million doses of the vaccine have been administered.

Of the reported side effects, 24 received treatment and 000 were classified as harmless, says Norwegian Medicines Agency .

- So far, no side effects other than those observed after the first and second doses have been observed after the third dose, says chief physician Ingrid Aas of the Norwegian Medicines Agency.

So far children and youth More than 12 doses have been administered to 17- to 405-year-olds. Since December last year, the Norwegian Medicines Agency has received and processed 000 reports of adverse reactions in this age group. Of these, 306 were classified as severe, including two cases of myocarditis and pericarditis.

The Norwegian Medicines Agency also processed 2273 reports of menstrual disorders. Most of the news is for women between the ages of 20 and 49. 198 of these messages were classified as serious.

In addition, there were 164 reports of unexpected postmenopausal abdominal bleeding in women. 159 of them were classified as serious.

To date, over 7,1 million doses (Pfizer / Biontech) and over 1,6 million doses (Moderna) have been administered in Norway.
