Today, many organizations receive funding from Norsk Tipping's profits to humanitarian and nonprofit organizations. This year, organizations will receive a record NOK 914,2 million from this program.
The largest recipient this year is the Norwegian Cancer Society
– These are free funds that mean a lot to the organization during the pandemic. The Norwegian Cancer Society is the largest recipient of the app-based part of the program this year with 68 millions of NOK. The Church Mission will receive NOK 64 million, while the Salvation Army will receive NOK 57 million. We know that many people are struggling with Christmas right now and I am glad that this year there will be more resources for organizations helping those who find it particularly difficult, says Minister of Culture and Gender Equality Anette Trettebergstuen.
Record high payment of NOK 914,2 million to humanitarian in-profit organizations
– Crisis response organizations: Red Cross, Rescue Society and Norwegian People's Aid received 489 million NOK. These organizations are part of the Norwegian cooperation model and the funds will contribute to ensuring volunteer readiness across the country, says Minister of Culture and Gender Equality Anette Trettebergstuen.
