Solar energy accounts for a small proportion of Norway's energy production, but is the fastest growing energy generation technology.

Solar power plants can be divided into facilities connected to the power grid and free-standing facilities. The freestanding ones, such as those traditionally placed, for example, in holiday homes. Almost 90 percent of Norway's solar power is now connected to the electricity grid. About 5 percent of the PV plants in Norway are larger plants above 50 kWp, but they account for half of the production capacity.

Kilowatt peak (kWp), what is it?

Kilowatt-pixels determine what energy efficiency solar panels can achieve when operating under "standard test conditions". Thanks to this, you can check how much energy under these conditions can be produced by a single module or a photovoltaic installation. Most often it is assumed that about 1 kWp is 800 kWh.

How much energy will one solar panel produce

How much energy you can get from one solar panel depends on many factors. The most important thing is solar radiation. In general, solar radiation decreases the further from the equator you are. Other conditions, such as colder air and snow reflections, affect performance solar cell.

The roof solar panel system in Norway will produce between 650 and 1000 kWh / kWp per year. For a single-family house with an electricity consumption of 20 kWh per year, this means that a 000-panel solar cell system will be able to produce enough electricity to cover 20 percent of the home's electricity consumption.

Will such an investment guarantee savings?

Research has shown that production from solar panels in Norway is of the same order of magnitude as in several other places further south in Europe. If you are serious about such an investment, you should contact the appropriate company. This will help to identify the needs and possibilities as well as to estimate the costs of such an installation.
