You can now apply for support from Stavanger Municipality for dental treatment if you meet the program criteria.
The evidence-based dental care program, which was adopted in the Health and Social Care Committee on February 14, 2023, is now ready. The program has been established for residents who have a registered address in Stavanger. Support is granted in accordance with the municipality's guidelines. What can you apply for?
You can apply for dental treatment that started after March 1, 2023. In the case of orthodontics (braces), you can apply for co-financing of expenses incurred in 2023 for children and adolescents up to and including 20 years of age. You can also submit an application to cover the excess amount in excess of the amount covered by HELFO in the case of specialist treatment.
Where and how to submit an application?
Since the application must contain documentation containing sensitive personal data, there is no provision for a digital application form. Paper application forms can be printed out via the municipality's website, picked up at the Nav offices, at the Citizens' Service Office at Olav Kyrres gate 23 in Judaberg and Vikevåg.
What must the application contain?
It must include a treatment plan and an estimate from the dentist, in addition to documentation of income, taxes, and benefits paid, such as child support, housing benefit, rental income, and more.
The application deadline is 30 September 2023 or until NOK 23,4 million has been transferred to applicants under the scheme for support or commitment. A total of NOK 25 million was allocated. 1 million has been allocated to Tannhelse Rogaland to assess estimated medical costs above NOK 10. 000 million has been set aside for a caseload resource at the Nav offices that will process applications.
