Free legal aid is a public support program aimed at providing legal assistance. This applies to people who do not have the financial means to obtain it.

Free legal aid may include: free advice legal proceedings, free case management and exemption from court fees. It may also cover the costs of other professional legal assistance. Student legal aid points where you can contact for advice and assistance are:

– Jussformidlingen in Bergen

– Legal advice for women (JURK) z office in Oslo

– Jussbuss with an office in Oslo.

When it comes to offers run by lawyers, Advokatforeningen organizes lawyer duties in many cities, details on the Advokatvakten website. Advokatvakten is a free offer where you can get up to 30 minutes free assistance from a lawyer.

Rettshjelpsentralen run by Kirkens Bymisjon offers free legal assistance, intended to be self-help.

For people who have or have had addiction problems, Gatejuristen offers free legal assistance in several cities.

Both Rettssenteret and Ung rettshjelp offer free legal assistance to everyone up to 25 years of age life in Oslo.
