- Ok. We intend to spend 40 million on the modernization and construction of the ski jump complex in Zakopane - Witold Bańka, Minister of Sport and Tourism announced on his Twitter account. If the investment is completed, it will be one of the largest investments in the history of Polish winter sports, and as a result, the Central Sports Center is to be built.
COS-OPO has been striving for investment for years
The Central Olympic Preparation Center in Zakopane has been striving for this investment for years. According to the director of this institution, Sebastian Danikiewicz, it is a key undertaking from the point of view of the development of Polish winter sports. He emphasizes that there is a great need to create a modern ski complex on which players of all ages will be able to train.
What will the Central Sports Center look like?
Planned the investment covers an area, which currently has four ski jumps. The plans include the construction of an additional ski jumping hill, while the four existing ski jumping hills will be thoroughly modernized. The scope of work will be wide, which is why it is said behind the scenes that it will not be a modernization of the existing facility, but rather a new construction. The sports complex will also include a modern ski lift, which will enable access to smaller ski jumps. Currently, such solutions are only available for large and medium hills.
It is estimated that the work will take 3 years, and the entire project is completed be given away available for use in 2022.

He emphasizes that as a result of the planned investment, a modern facility will be built, which will have a modern inrun profile and artificially frozen inrun tracks. This is a current trend on all ski jumping hills and an indispensable element that all facilities aspiring to organize international competitions must have.
